Opening of the cycling path Parkstadroute<\/h2>\n

During the festival Cultura Nova 2025, the new cycling path Parkstadroute will be opened with an extraordinary performance: a theatre parade cutting straight through the Parkstad landscape, led by our FIREBIRDS Pilots – come along!<\/p>\n

Starting point Route 1: Simpelveld, Stationstraat 22, 1:00 pm<\/strong>
Starting point Route 2: Schinnen Burg, Pijlstraat 5, 1:00 pm<\/strong>
Finale: Kasteel Schaesberg, 4:00 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

Starting from Schinnen and Simpelveld<\/strong> \u2013 the two entry points of the Parkstadroute \u2013 we will set off with a colourful convoy: Each parade consists of two FIREBIRDS vehicles accompanied by performers and actors. Along the way, a vibrant procession unfolds, full of surprising acts and encounters \u2013 an ode to landscape, connection, and movement. Everyone is invited to join in: bring your bicycle and cycle along from the start or hop in anywhere along the route; you decide your moment to become part of this rolling theatre. Clearly marked stops along the way make it easy to join in \u2013 see infos and schedule below.<\/strong>

The two parades will meet around 4:00 pm at Castle Schaesberg<\/strong>, the symbolic heart of the Parkstadroute. There, a visually striking and immersive finale takes place, in which six daredevil pilots and their FIREBIRDS vehicles compete in a thrilling air race. Each pilot seeks to win the audience\u2019s favour \u2013 but only one will succeed in fulfilling their long-cherished dream.<\/p>\n
